After going to NYC for this crazy interview (which involved masks, glitter paint, me imitating Elvis and a human pretzel…), I GOT HIRED as a tour rider/marketer for the 2010 truth orange Guerrilla Team!!! I feel super honored to have gotten hired for this gig, because I guess like 1500 people applied, which is a little mind blowing to me.
I feel crazy good about what I’ll be doing all summer, because 80% of people who smoke start before they turn 18… truth is just marketing not smoking as being cool to teenagers, so maybe they will never start. Totally judgment free. Mmm.
SO all summer (and part of fall), we’ll be staying in hotels and/or living in our tour bus and going all over the U.S. doin our thang. Our tour schedule isn’t exactly set, but I know for sure we’ll be doing Lollapalooza in Chi town (WOO!) and stuff in Vegas and NYC and St Louis and Seattle. Everywhere! I hope to see all of my out of towny friends please!
I leave in about a week and I need to see all of my San Diego and LA loves before I depart. I’ll be back in LA for about a week at some point this summer, but I forget when… So let’s make it a good week! TO ALL MY LOVELY FRIENDS THAT TOUR FOR A LIVING, I will be hitting you up for advice, cause I’m a n00b and kinda nervous.
We’re gonna be making web episodes and doing blog/twitter updates for http://thetruth.com but I’ll also keep my tumblr updated, because I’m probably going to be so stoked about everything that I won’t be able to contain myself. :)
